NEW FEATURE! - VIBRATION FUNCTION!
Hugo has just recently massively increased your possibilities and potential for creating miracles with adding a new feature to the Mind Pad - The Vibration Feature! Mind Pad now has an amazing vibration unit built into the screen that vibrates a different amount of times depending on where your spectator writes on the pad (hot areas) set up by you, where you want.
This means that you can do extra effects with the Mind Pad never before possible with a device of its kind, for example, you set the Mind Pad to detect 5 areas on a piece of paper, these can be any areas you like, in those 5 areas you draw, say, a circle, cross, wavy lines, square and star, one symbol in each area. You then give the spectator the pad and you say put a tick onto one of the symbols they like, say they tick the star symbol. You will immediately know that they have chosen the Star as the card case (screen) will vibrate 5 times in your pocket to represent that the specator ticked the Star, if they chose the Square it would vibrate 4 times and so on.
This can be repeated over and over with other spectators. So you can read their minds without even looking at the screen if you choose to activate that effect on your Mind Pad. The effect would work very well with colours, dates of birth, important people and really only limited to your imagination!
How long is the range?
The range for a device this small is very impressive. It has been throughly tested and we are happy to report that the range is approximately 30 meters in good conditions. We tested it in one of the lecture halls in the Blackpool Magic Convention with a well known Mentalist from the USA and we were pleased to see the pad transmit from the stage to the back of the lecture hall even with people in the way. It also works through many walls... imagine the possibilities!
Does Mind Pad fit in your pocket?
Yes, the Mind Pad was designed to fit in a outer suit jacket pocket, as far as we are aware it is the only device of its kind that will fit a standard pocket.
What is the size of the Mind Pad Wallet?
The wallet is 19cm long by 12.8 cm wide, the thinnest of its kind and perfect for close-up magic or walkaround.
How long is the battery life?
The battery life for the wallet sensor is approx. 9 hours and for the receiver 5 hours if the unit was in constant use and never switched off! So ample for almost all working magicians!
How do you know if the battery is running low?
There are two battery indicators on the screen, one which tells you the life of the pad the other the life of the screen. They look like standard indicator icons you would see on your camera, camcorder or mobile phone.
Does the pen need batteries and is it heavy?
The pen doesn't use any batteries and is feather light.
Does the Mind Pad have any other features?
Yes there is an array of features and settings accessible via the touch screen receiver, including customisable delay functions if you are performing a multi-spectator routine and an auto scale function.
What happens if I don't use playing cards in my routine?
You can place the screen wherever you want. A favourite of ours is to have it in your inside jacket pocket and so when you take the pen back to place it back into your pocket you peek at the screen at the same time! ... ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES
How fast does the screen receive the data?
Extremely fast and accurate (ed-NOW EVEN BETTER THAN THE VIDEO SHOWS AS THE SOFTWARE HAS BEEN IMPROVED!), the fastest data capture of any transmission device enabling accurate reproduction of very fast handwriting.
What screen does Mind Pad use?
Mind Pad uses a high-contrast OLED display with touch screen setting controls.
Is there a delay between when the spectator writes on the Mind Pad and the receiver showing the information?
No, everything happens in REAL TIME.
Is there an instant connection between receiver and sensor or do you have to wait a bit?
There is an instant connection. You are ready to go right away!
Do mobile phones, Wifi etc interfere with the signal?
No. Mind Pad uses various techniques to ensure that nothing interferes with the signal.
How long does it take to start up?
2 second start-up time
Is the device thick and heavy?
No. It is unbelievably light and thin, so much so you will not believe it! It is the thinnest and lightest sensor out there at 2.8mm thick including the battery.
Does it have an auto-expand or auto-scale mode?
Yes! This means that if the spectator writes something very small it expands to the size of the screen in real time!
Does it come in a protective case?
Yes, it comes in an anodised aluminium case which is thin, light, and strong, enabling you to carry Mind Pad in a laptop bag.
How long does it take to recharge?
Recharge in 8-9hrs (overnight) from any USB port.
Do you have to use expensive paper?
No, Mind Pad uses ordinary A6 refills that you can buy from high street stationers for about £1.
Are the Mind Pad pockets examinable by the spectator?
Yes, every pocket in Mind Pad is examinable by the spectator.
Does the Pad have annoying zips or velcro?
No, the Mind Pad looks very ordinary, with no velcro or zips.
What happens when the pen runs out of ink?
We supply two spare nibs with each pen giving you many months of continuous writing. If you do run out of ink, standard refills are available.
Do the receiver and screen really fit in a Bicycle card case?
Yes, the receiver and it's protective box fits in standard Bicycle card case, the only one that does so at the moment. So no need to expose the electronics by taking it out of it's protective case. This also means that it has interchangeable covers, so you can change the cover to another card box if you prefer.
What thickness of paper can you use?
The Mind Pad allows you to use over 350 sheets of paper!
Do I have to use the wallet provided, or can I put the sensor into different product?
We recommend using the wallet provided for its own safety but the unique transferable electronics means that the Mind Pad system can be inserted into a different wallet, or even a stand-alone pad of paper. Use of the system is limited only by your creativity, but be careful - any breakages would void the warranty.
What is the guarantee?
The unit is guaranteed from electronic malfunction for up to a year where the fault can be deemed a manufacturer fault. We are confident that it will last for many many years if you look after it well as it is very well made. As it is an electronic device, any evidence of heavy handedness, dropping the item, pulling off or breaking the switch, sensor, screen, battery components or circuit board or spilling liquid on it all VOIDS the warranty and cannot be replaced at our cost for these reasons. It is designed for professional use but like anything of this nature needs to be taken care of, with a good level of audience management. Most components can be replaced but there will be a parts and labour charge for these to be fixed. If this is a concern for you, please don't buy this item.
